The College Counseling Process
Although CA students receive personal, social, and academic counseling throughout lower and middle school, college counseling begins when students enter upper school.Group meetings and general mailings provide information for students and their families during freshman and sophomore years. During junior year, the college counseling program kicks into high gear with numerous meetings designed to help students and parents define goals and narrow school selection. CA’s college counselors work in tandem with the head of school, upper school principal, and student advisors to offer assistance and resources.
The overarching goal of the college process is to help students find colleges and universities that fit their current interests and provide enough flexibility to allow them to grow.
